Copper-Nickel 90/10, designated UNS C70600 (European equivalent CW352H / CuNi10Fe1Mn), is a copper-base alloy containing nominally 90% copper and 10% nickel, with controlled additions of iron and manganese for enhanced erosion-corrosion resistance. Sunflex Metalloy manufactures Copper-Nickel 90/10 pipes & tubes in both seamless and welded construction, supplied in straight lengths, U-bends and coils, for applications demanding outstanding resistance to seawater corrosion, biofouling and erosion at moderate flow velocities.
This alloy is the global benchmark material for shipboard piping systems, desalination plant piping, condenser & heat exchanger tubing, offshore platform firewater and seawater lift systems, and power plant cooling circuits, owing to its proven multi-decade service life in seawater environments.
Our Copper-Nickel 90/10 pipes/tubes are produced from continuously cast billets, hot-extruded, cold-drawn/pilgered to final dimensions, and bright-annealed or pickled-and-annealed as per the customer's required temper. Each lot undergoes chemical analysis, mechanical testing, hydrostatic pressure testing, eddy-current/ultrasonic testing and full dimensional inspection prior to dispatch.

ASTM B466 covers seamless Copper-Nickel pipe, while ASTM B467 covers welded Copper-Nickel pipe. Both specify the same chemical composition (UNS C70600) but differ in manufacturing process, joint efficiency factors and certain dimensional tolerances.
We manufacture CuNi 90/10 pipes and tubes from 6mm OD condenser tube sizes up to 1200mm NB large-bore seamless and welded pipe, in wall thicknesses from Sch 5S to Sch 160.
Yes, every shipment is accompanied by a Mill Test Certificate (MTC) as per EN 10204 3.1, covering chemical composition, mechanical properties and hydrostatic/NDT test results.
